Where can I get limiter chains. Don't have the tools, welder and such to make my own. Very simple to make but just don't have the tools and don't weld. Thanks

If you have a fair drill press and a hack saw you don't need a welder. If you look at the drawing, A quarter inch bit properly spaced can put the hole and slot where you need it. An old beat up stabilizer bar can be your start. Cut off about six inches and you have your first hole. then use your drill press to go from there. a regular old hand file is helpful. Yeah, it takes a little work but its worth it. Chain is no problem. You got that laying around somewhere. Great do it yourself project! b

Thanks everyone, I'll check with some of the local dealers. Won't be checking with Kubota. Their prices are always triple everywhere else. Won't even talk to you about a headlight for a Kybota L1500. They say"You need to check wherever you got that thing"....I really like to advertise for them.....Good tractors, just sorry local dealer.

Kubota parts in reply to Tom N MS, 05-11-2007 05:37:29
I buy all my Kubby parts online from Tractor Smart. They sell OEM Kubota parts WAYYYY under the dealers. So far under that the dealers lodged a bunch of complaints with Kubota Corporate and corporate tried to yank their distributor privileges. Now Kubota charges $5 per ITEM to drop ship for them. Forced them to partner with a PA tractor dealership and slowed parts delivery down beacause it all has to be reshipped by the PA dealership. Still a LOT LESS EXPENSIVE.

Appears to be one of the banned links from this site:

www.tractorsmart.com

If you have the Kubota part numbers you'll get immediate online pricing.

Last Bota 3000 I rebuilt the front axle own (4X4) the Bota dealer wuz rite much cheaper on the bearings than enny one else. I could shop and beat their price but ship"n or a road trip would have put the dealer rite in line with"em.
I will give my bota dealer a well deserved praise. They let me copy the info I need rite out of their shop manuals. Actually will let me take the manual but most of the time I need only a few pages of info. Best i kin tell they realy don"t want to do the werk and as soon supply me wif the parts and info.

That's good..obviously depends on the local "operator/owner" however that works.....

Glad to hear you have a reasonable dealership nearby. But bookmark that url. Ronnie's prices are about half Kubota list and shipping from PA is very low to me - shouldn't be a lot more to you. It was even better when Kubota would drop ship the whole order from their warehouse for a flat $5 but those days are gone.

Tom:

Any tractor/implement dealer should have them or be able to get them.

I bought mine at my local CNH/Kubota dealer.

Zerco Mfg. Co. 500 N. Main, Springfield Mo 65806, Ph. 417-866-2472. This info from the box they came in several years ago. Can"t remember where I bought them, but presumably they"ll refer you to a dealer. Ask about "Mower Deck Height Stabilizer."
