all I did was bragg once on this old tractor this what happen ..
I was getting my last load of dirt pick up the loader. THE TRACTOR STOP DEAD In IT TRACK. hot wire to from the switch got her run but the backfire and coffing back I didn't switch any spark plug wire.. I had replace the switch again ... I keep a few of them on hand, what heck is it with the missing and coffin , backfire..

sorry to take up everyone time it was something simply. e on the gas gauge don't mean it extra gas . mean it out of gas. I fill it up and run great now .. thank now u can ripp me on it...

John, I have had times that I could not believe the tank was empty so soon and just kept trying to start mine till the batt was dead. Now, I check the gas if it doesn`t start in a reasonable amount of cranking. Guess I needed a few lessons.

Coil might be go bad or you got some junk in the carb. Either one will cause that type of problem. If you let it cool for a few hour if it runs good for about 45-60 minutes then starts doing that it probably the coil going south on you
