I have a 53 NAA and i have a hydraulics issue. I have rebuilt the lift assembly a lil while ago and everything has been working fine until about 2 weeks ago.

When i raise the engine rpm"s the hydraulics raise up and i can"t push the lever down to lower them, almost like there is resistance to push the lever down.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

This happened also when I got junk in my freshly rebuilt hydraulics on my 1954 NAA (put the old hydraulic manifol on and it was full of dead bugs and stuff). You can walk behind the tractor, manually lift both the arms up a tad (it will go a bit higher), and slam them down. May take a few times, but this usually unsticks the valves and lets the lift drop. DO NOT try to force the right side lift control lever down when you feel resistance - this will bugger up your linkages inside the lift cover.

Good luck,
Dan

also, forgot to mention that when i turn the tractor off i can move the adjustment lever down with no problem and the lift falls down as well.
