I thought I had already posted this question, so forgive me if I am being redundant...

Is there a difference between the 8N proof meter and the NAA proof meter? I have my spare NAA meter in the 8N project tractor and it looks to be reading too fast, would that be the case you think?

Ramrod..... ...yep, the "calibration factor" is different between the 8N proofmeter and NAA and 100 series proofmeter. Right now, I don't remember exactly what the factor is. Yeah, just 'cuz they look the same, don't mean the guttz are the same..... ..Dell

My 8N proofmeter had quit working some years ago and I finally ordered a new one and a cable too. I got mine from this site, and it is very good looking and close to the original in looks & finish. IF you need a new cable, spend the extra money and get the more expensive, metal-shielded cable (like the original). If you get the cheaper rubber coated one like I did you will have to improvise a heat shield for it since it passes between the engine block and the hot exhaust manifold.
Just my opinion!
Carl
