Just came in from my daily 20 mile round trip to my farm and saw that gasoline prices went up an average of $0.22 per gallon while I was gone. They just said on TV, day before yesterday, that these prices would stabilize for the summer. Bull dookey, they going to break this country wif these fuel prices, and there is no justifiable cause fer all these increases, except huge profits. I figured as much when they layed the blame on that hurricane. That was a bunch of bull crap, to test the waters to see if we would take it.

Here in Central Ky this week gas went up Monday from $3.17 at 7AM EDT on the way into work to $3.30 at 4PM EDT on the way home. Today at 7AM EDT on way into work it was $3.09.

I'm no economist but seems to me that practices such as this would lead to lots of $$$$ in someones pocket. At home near the farm gas is still $3.18. I had to stave off bush hogging the fields as I can't afford the three tanks of gas to do it completely. Plus the grass in the front yard is about ankle high. I'd rather use the gas for the garden so I can eat!!

Filled up Friday for $2.939, down 6 cents from Tuesday. Maybe there is some relief in sight, won't hold my breath though.

its up here too, in nm, i just put 900.00 in my truck and thats only 1 and 1/4 tanks, not even a full fill up, that will run me about 4 normal days, i got to save some gas money for the jubilee and my farm truck and pickup, this is flat out stealing by the oil companies, and a certain "high level indIvidual", but the only way to get the gas prices down is to not buy any,so its either run a still in the barn or climb up on a horse or ride a bike, if nobody bought gas for a week the price would drop by more than half i think, of course if we could completly ring washington with semi's then shut them down and flaten the tires so they couldnt be moved and not allow anything in or out, i wonder if the gov would get the point when they ran out of food gas, and other nessessities?

Everybody remember when the hurricane hit the refineries on the Gulf coast and shut them down. Gas went up but I never once could'nt get gas. Now they (big oil) are telling us that because of a few refinery outages that we might not have sufficient gas. That's got to be BS.

Hey all:

Regular unleaded up 12 cents from yesterday to $3.29/9.

ET at work was viewing a interview by John Stossel (I think) on something called HHO. I didn"t get to see the entire interview but the inventor said he went 100 miles on 4 oz. of water. Evidently converts water to hydrogen/oxygen and uses its moleclular and magnecular preoperties.

Hasn"t NASA used H & O for electricity for decades?

Safety & blue skies,

DJ

Yes sir, it jumped 20 cents here in Minneapolis this fine morning. $3.39. I'm about to put 300 miles round-trip to the farm this weekend and even with my fit N little '80s Toyota it won't be cheap.

Not nearly as many with a plow sunk in the ground, as she would in 4th on tha road...

My riding lawnmower seems to use 5 times the gas (or more) for the amount of work done, as my 8N does.

I don't begrudge 'em their profits, I'd just like to see 'em build some more refineries with that money instead of gold faucets in the boss's bathroom, etc.

People are going to get fed up with the government very shortly and all hell is going to break loose. Every day it's a different excuse as to why gas is going up. And now this immigration thing they just think they worked out is worse than what it is now---in less than 5 years there will be a civil war here. Get ahold of me when it starts cuz I'll lead the first charge.

You say your gas is high. Here in Ontario we have to pay $1.23 a litre to the gas gods. If my math is right that works out to $5.53 a gallon.Makes me want to buy a horse and buggy.

Cranky, The high price of energy in Canada is because of the "ONE" price policy. The Price you sell Gas or energy to the US consumer is set to be 10% higher than Canada's domestic price. The BIG OIL lobbied Canada to screw the USA but the "ONE" Price screws Canadians too

A domestic & an Export price (two) would cure both our problems. Do you Know the domestic price of gas in Iraq? last I heard it was .38 cents. Why do they have (2) Prices? JMHO

Cranky,
I also heard that most of the reason your gas prices are high is because the gov over there taxes so much. I wonder what you would pay without the taxes vs us. I bet we are paying more. Lots of crooks over here.

In Canada, we use the Imperial gallon, which is approx. 4.5 l. The price where I live went from $1.17/l - $1.24/l at all the local stations (4) within 12 minutes....nobody wants to leave 'anything on the table' !! Gee, kinda LOOKS like price fixing / gouging.

It may be about time for the world to slow back down to a mules pace....

The nation taking to the streets protesting would be an option, politicians (and others) don't like a nation at unrest.

I honestly don't see how a huge percentage of folks in this country will be able to continue working for nothing more than enough money to get back and forth, and I do bet it comes to that for lots of folks at $4 at gal.

I know folks that drive 25 - 35 miles a day to work at Wally World.

If I can buy a loaf of bread or two a week at least I can eat, cause I am rooting all the maters I can. I ain't paying no $2.00 a pound fer them, I hope. I am rooting all the suckers I can pull off of my plants. One plant will produce a bunch of plants if ye root dem suckers. Jest cut em off and stick 'em in the ground each evening and keep 'em watered and they will root. Been doing that fer years.

Just payed $3.15 for 87 octain today and its going higher.

Every holiday I see it and no one can do anything about it because there is more and more demand than can be produced.

I drive Toyota vehicles due to the price of gas and gave up my large V8 hogs three years ago.

Every where I look there are 1 ton trucks being driven like cars and large SUV's with only one person driving them.

Its like this.

We live in the United States of America and everyone lives their lives as they wont and we as a society will continue to pay for the high prices of a natural product which one day will run out and we as a society will not even blink an eye at it because there will be another source to take its place.
