I have a 2000 New Holland TC25D Hydrostat tractor. I sold my 8N and bought this a few years ago. It has been a pleasure to use. I recently replaced the two 5/8" hoses on the hydrostat cooling radiator that is in front of the motor radiator. I have noticed that when the motor is running these hoses swell with pressure, and I am having trouble with these hose connections leaking. I felt that the hydrostat filter might be plugged so I replaced it, but the problem remains. I was told by the New Holland technician that they made these filters a smaller micron and so some have this increased pressure problem. I also checked the oil and noticed that it is foaming and white on top, and on the dip stick. This is a new thing, didn't notice this before. It has an automatic transmission New Holland oil they sold me for this that is number G 137. It seems very thick to me for a hydrostat drive, but what do I know. Any Ideas out there? I may put a car filter from autozone on it, but of course the technician recomends against it. He says I should but the New Holland retrofit kit with new high pressure hoses for over $130.00. I can't buy the older filter with a larger micron tollerance. I was told this is to protect the over $3000 hydrostat drive. Where's my old 8N?

Ask your dealer to talk to their service rep for policy adjustment for the parts to put the updated lines on, they will need your serial# and hours from the meter, I would change the oil and filters if it looks milky because it will not flow though the filters fast.

first if it were mine no way would i put a car filter from autozone on a hydraulic system, 2 reasons 1 all filters are not created the same with regaurd to quality, second if the filter has pressure to it from the hydraulic system, a car filter may not be designed to take the pressure, i would get a manuel first and check to see what kind of fluid the factory put in the tractor then go from there,
