In a previous post it was discussed how to check for good flow through the carbuerator. The location of the three screens to check were also mentioned. I have a lack of power problem and am in need of some help. Any advice will be appreciated

Check flow thru carb by pulling bowl drain on bottom.

3 screens,

1 screen on top of fuel tap in tank... some modern repalcement taps DON'T have this finger shaped/sized screen.

2nd screen is a disc in the glass fuel bowl.

3rd screen is in the elbow fitting at the carborator.

Lack of power can be timing, fuel restriction. lean main jet due to trash or adjustment.. reseat your mainjet and readjust...

could also be weak spark.

Soundguy,

Thanks for the advice.

I did pull the plug on the bottom of the carbuerator and the flow was a fairly weak stream. I must have a combination of problems that are causing the power loss. Could be one or all of the items you listed.

Thanks again,
Ron11
