Friday I went to install a set of points from one of the internet providers. The brass bushing inside the nylon part that rubs the cam had a lip on top and bottom. This was just enough to cover up the cotter pin hole. Filed off the lips. Pin goes in. Now the points will not close, maybe .050 was the closest I could get them. Next day go and get a set from napa. The hole for right hold down screw does not line up with the hole for screw. File and elongate the hole. A fifteen min. job turned into a two day frustration. Just ranting, where do you guys get points that are actually machined to some degree of tolerance?

Got my last set of points at NAPA. The set before that was TSC and it didnt come with the grease for the cam. So I forgot about putting it on. Points lasted 6 months.

TIP: copy this info in to a notepad file and save it for future use. Most napa parts guys wont know what to look for. I know I have tried.

Condensor: NAPA #FA200

Points: NAPA #CS35

Rotor: NAPA #FA300

Distributor Cap: NAPA #FA350

If you post what Make,Yr,& Model of tractor you are working on, I'd bet someone would be able to tell you where to get the part you need! I have never had any problems finding the points and or electrical parts, right here on this YT web site.
Post what ya got. Someone will help ya!!!

I got mine from this very website host, plus a distributor cap, distributor gaskets, and balast resistor, most recently.
