NAPA sells them a whole lot cheaper than $58.00. I dont know the part number. Just got to find a guy at the counter smart enough to look it up. When I had my tank lined, they covered up the vent hole. The guy that lined my tank called NAPA, and they had one on the counter waiting for me.

Your local New Holland dealer still offers the free gas cap exchange program Ford came out with in 1986, just take your old cap, the model# and hand stamped serial# to the dealer, if they are a new dealer and know nothing about it tell them to refer to service bulletin# 1993/10-T2 and to note that the old cap does not meet current venting and spill requirements, there is a defect in materials, the new cap meets current venting and spill requirements so they get reimbursed. Keep the gas level below the bottom of the plastic neck of the new cap. Do not remove the cap when the engine is warm or hot.

It's so simple that, if you actually USE your tractor, you'll find that the loose gas cap will most likely vibrate off and your bush hog will eat it..... ...then you'll be back, asking where you can buy another one.

Welp, yer local CNH (es-Ford) dealer sells a "vented" gascap. Meets OSH and EPA standards. ...or... just don't tighten yer gascap tite. Simple, eh?..... ...Dell

Drill a 1/16 or 1/8" hold straight down thru that center rivet. (Do it on the work bench about 20 feet away from the gas tank.) ;Þ
