I am planting an eight acre native warm season grassland, for a conservation reserve. I am renting a drill made for this type of seed, as it is lighter than typical grain seed. My problem is that there are two hoses from the drill (one for down, and one to lift). I only have an attachment for one hose comming off my 9n. Is there something I can get to split it for two hoses? If there isn't anyway of doing this, I was going to cap the lift hose while I am seeding, then switch hoses when I needed to lift it back. Do yo see a problem with this? I have two different sections to seed, so I will have to switch hoses a more than once. By the way, thanks to everyone who responded to my other post, I was able to solve my carb problem. Thanks, Rich.

With only one hose hydraulics run it just like your drawbar - that is lift only/no down pressure. No you cannot block the other hose. You need the oil/air in that end of the cylinder to get out when you put oil in the other end. It will suck air back in when you lower your drill, so the hose must have a filtered vent on it so dirt does not go back in the cylinder. Hopefully your drill will lower properly without down pressure. Just one of the pitfalls of using new fangled equipment on an antique tractor. Some 10 years after you 9N, 2 way hydraulics were used a lot.
