I had a nasty rattle in mine - turned out to be the top left springy thing that holds the top of the grille in.

Not sure if you have lights on your tractor, but I found an annoying rattle with those little metal clips that hold the headlight wire to the bottom edge of the hood when I throttle down. They just are not tight enough.

There are two anti rattle pads that clip to the fuel lines under the gas tank, got 'em?

Fuel line could be bumping up against the bottom of the tank.

oh.LOL. i didn't know there were anti rattle pads for the fuel line. how stupid. why didnt hank just give a little distance between the fuel line and the tank? coulda saved a little money on pads and put it into a grease fitting for the steering box instead of that filler plug.
its not the water pump, its a new one on a new engine and it rattled before also. i'll double check the door also but i don't think that is it.
thanks folks
