My "project" 8N is slowly being torn down - going back a few weeks I posted that this tractor had low compression in one cylinder. I do not anticipate digging into the block any time soon (as I am in the process of re-building my running 8N). If I take the radiator and hoses off, what is the best way to ensure antifreeze stays in the block? I was thinking that maybe some pvc end-caps might slip over the hose holes? While we are a long way from the next freeze here in Tejas, everyone knows how time can catch up on you.

I agree with rusty, drain the block that way you have no worrys about freezeing or getting a leak and kill a dog or cat also

Completely drain the block. If there is no water or anti-freeze in there, there is nothing that can freeze, and if the anti-freeze that is in there now is of the proper strength, it will not freeze either.
