Generally, "a little coaxing" and "starts right up" are not descriptors I"d use simultaneously when describing how I started an engine.

Production of 8N tractors started in July 1947 so it could be a low serial number 8N. Might be worth more to a collector, but $4500 is more than a little high for a starting price on eBay.

interesting - the original '47 (I thought 8N's started in '48) had an in-line fuel filter...the things you find out on Ebay.

I would agree especially since it"s not restored.. now if it had a meticulous restoration and rebuild, then maybe.

Scott,

Actually, its value is because it has not been restored. Corvette enthusiasts would call that a "survivor". Unmolested. (for the most part)
The right buyer would probably spring for it - but I bet he won't get a bite.

Hi Ray, interesting point of view. Kind of like a rusty penny is worth more than a shiney penny? It"s worth is all about how much someone is willing to pay, and is a concept that is in the eye of the beholder susceptable for interpretation.
