My Dad passed away last thursday, had the funeral monday in Texas. I have one of his old 8N tractors here, been reworking it for some time now. About a month ago I brought back his old loader which is in this picture. I don"t have this particular tractor but it is the same loader. I have the fork (we used it to pile brush)off it doing some welding on the broken pipes. This picture was taken around 1967. I am standing up beside Dad driving and my niece is standing on the rear behind us. We sure lived dangerously back then didn"t we:^)

Hey Ron, sorry to hear about you dad, lost mine this summer as well. My dad never had a tractor but after he passed on I found out that he admired my determination in making that old tractor earn it's keep.

He always wanted a 39 or 40 Ford Truck... well I just happened to get a 40 9N instead.

If you need to talk or just an ear my email is open.

James

My Uncle on my Dads tractor in our yard, around 1950, 6 years before I was born.

He died in 1963, and then my Dad died in 1983.

Hi Ron,
Sorry to hear about your father.
Glad you were able to get the equipment.
Probably a lot more memories will pop up when you use it or just walk by it.

Best wishes
-Chad

BTW post some pics if you get it in action sometime!
