Since you"ve done most of the electric troubleshooting, I"d look at your fuel system.

You should only have the fuel valve open two turns. If you open it all the way up you"re sucking out of the reserve which is the bottom of the tank - full of nasty stuff if you haven"t had your tank cleaned out in a long time. Avoid getting into your reserve at all times and just consider that you have a nine gallon tank.

With the valve open two turns, take the bolt/plug out of the bottom of the carb and let the fuel run into a quart jar. You should get a good strong stream of fuel til you just about fill up the jar. Check the fuel in the jar for "floaties." If it is not a good flow, or if it starts off good and diminishes, you"ve got a blockage somewhere. There are three filter/screens. One is in the elbow that connects the fuel line to the carb. One is a flat screen that sits on top of the sediment bowl. And one is a tube type screen that is on top of the fuel assembly and reaches up into the gas tank. All of these should be removed and cleaned or replaced with new ones. If they are gunked up and/or you are getting dirt/rust fines in the sediment bowl you need to drain your fuel tank and clean it somehow. I took mine to a radiator shop and had it boiled out/steam cleaned. I replaced the elbow connector, the fuel valve/sediment bowl assembly (which took care of the other two filters) , the fuel line, and the carb. All of this pretty much took care of 100% of the fuel system. And it took care of my problem, which was much as your describe yours.
Good luck.

I would start here. Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the carb, let it flow for at least 5 minutes. Catch the gas in something. Does it flow for that 5 minutes with a good steady flow?? If not then you have a fuel problem. Check the line and the sediment bowl etc. If you do have a good flow then the moment it stops check for a good brite blue spark, if no spark or weak spark jumper across the ignition swithc and try for spark again.

Hi. maybe you should try cleaning the fuel tank, screens, and line filter. Another could be the heat from the manifold may be causing a vacume in the line,or filter. I had this problem too and made a heat schield around it and the problem went away. 8N's always have fuel problems, maybe because the tank has to have quite a bit of fuel in it due to the screen being up in the tank about 1/2 in. Jump a wire across the ignition switch. Its known as the weak sister ignition switch.

Give us some time lines to go on. How long does it run before it stops and how soon will it restart after stopping? This will tell us a lot about the possible solution. Will check back later this evening fer your update.
