Stump Jumper?

I like the 6' Squealer Standard Duty for my NAA, but it does not come with a stump jumper. I wonder if that should be a concern? The stump jumper adds a lot of wieght, but it must also store a lot of momentum for those tough cuts. Would it be smarter to go with a 5' bush hog that does have a stump jumper?

While i prefer a stump jumper.. absence of one ain't a deal breaker either.

I'd rather have a 6' cutter on a 134 eng.. with no stump jumper.. than a 5' with stump jumper.. etc.

From what I have seen, a "stump jumper" means that it has an angled, welded piece of metal welded in front of the blade turntable, that causes it to rise over stumps, instead of the turntable hanging on them.

Here's a stump jumper, the other type of blade holder I see is 'oval type'.

Not all that say that (stump jumper) look like that..

I wish I had a pic of the bottom of my old Covington to show you.

Here's the bottom of a JD MX6, showing their stump jumper. I guess there is nothing to stop me from changing the oval pan on the Squealer to a stump jumper of the same diameter, like the one above on eBay.

I hope to have one on my next hog. I am sure they cost more, but might be worth it, enjoy
