I would like to take a moment to thank everyone out there who has given me,any others out here all the valuable information that has kept our old Ford tractors going. Ya'all was right on the money about the selonoid on my 8n.... I had it on backwards. (A homer Simpson moment) DOAH!!!!! On my 5000, yep it does have removeable balls in the link arms.... (another homer Simpson moment)....DOAHH !!!!! My next feat will be installing a set on tracks on my 8n. (Had them on my NAA but the wife refused to drive "her tractor"with "those things" on there. I will be taking step by step pictures of the process. Would anyone be interested in seeing these? I would also like to know 2 things. 1) How would I post the pics here? 2) I have found no markings on the pieces for the tracks, How can I find out what make they are? The tracks do not have rubber belts on the outside, but are sections held together with steel "D" rings. Any info will help on these matters. Again I want to thank everyone for all the information and support. Have a great day and HAPPY "N"ing..... . Thanks Terry

To post pics you need to:
  1. Upload your pictures to a public server somewhere. I use Photobucket.com - it's easy and free. Once the pics are on the server you need to get the Uniform Resource Identifier (url) for the picture. Every picture has a different url. On Photobucket that info is displayed right next to each pic and looks like this:

    Link

  2. Then to include the pic in a post just insert the following HTML snippet in your message where you want the picture to appear:

<img src="Put the url for your picture here">

Using my example url and putting this in the message box:

    <img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/TheOldHokie/IMG_0165.jpg">

    Produces this:

Any pictures are of value for those who do not have installation instructions for equipment. Sometimes the pictures are easier to store than 3 in. thick volumes of text.

These days, we first have to understand the "LOGIC", first, of some of the "writers" who are sending instructions with equipment accessories.

Thanks for writ'N.

Yep!! Many of them are speakin/writn' english as a second (or third) language & it shows!! And..don' even get me started on my rant about the fact that the deaded "safety & warning" legalities take up waaaaa aay too much space! Oh, well..blame it on the liberal demoquacks. Or the greedy Repiglicans! One or the other. CC

One must learn 5 languages. Most of us will be "self-taught", though, be reading the instructions. Lotts of times ENGLISH is mispelled.

Right now, I have to explain to my 76 yr. old sister, who has been surrogate mother for all my life, WHY I DON'T FEEL THAT I SHOULD START SEEING A DOCTOR about something I wrote in yesterday's forum.

"John", says she, "YOU ARE SICK" she said.

I asked Dell...."Do you want be to be chastized, forever"? He, Dell has no idea what I have to live with in religious matters.

Thanks for lis'Ning John,PA

THANKS. I just finished loading my printer and printed yesterday's religious issue.

Now I have proof that I was able to back-up myself if, or when, the local township police come banging on my door to satisfy a rumor that got spread locally.

Obviously the issue got around quickly thru me reporting same to the local bank.

Last time, I was supposed to be planning to BLOW UP the PA. Monument on the National Battlefield, here.

Thanks again, CARGO. John,PA
