What do you need to do? You need to get an owners manula, and preferable a shop and aprts manual.. You can pick up all of those for less than 60$.

Yes.. same oil sump.

Yes you need to drain and refill with a yellow metal safe gear oil in the 90w range.. or a UTF fluid meeting M2C134d spec.

Pto must be engaged before hyds work.

Ronnie..... ...Milky hydro-tranny fluid is NOT GOOD 'cuz that is WATER leaking in yer tranny shifter rubber boot. $5 (cheap) Always good thing to do to change yer hydro-tranny oil.

You do know that the hydraulic pump is operated by the PTO lever behind yer left heel, don't you? No pump'em, no lift'em.

Iff'n yer PTO is turnin', then the next thing to do is to remove yer 6"-round dipstick plate and look fer "squirts". Theres only 2-sources of squirts. Iff'n you don't understand squirts, ask.

Ford/New-Holland (CNH) now recommend 5-gals of spec: M2C-134D hydro-tranny oil. You can also use 1939 spec of 90wt mineral gear oil iff'n you can find it. GL-1 is close approximation. DO NOT USE multi-weight GL-4 or GL-5.

Drain the diffy plug first, then the 3-in tranny plug and finally the 3-in hydraulic pump plate. Fill is 3-in twist-to-remove cap by tranny shifter.

Iff'n this doesn't gitt'cha liftin' report back with what you've found..... ..Dell

Is the pto engaged? Check the lever behind your left heel. Milky fluid is a sign of water in the transmission. Does the shifter have a good boot on it? One fill plug fills the trany and diffy. It has 3 plugs to drain the fluid.
