I've kept this sale flier all these years, except for the fact that I think it is really cool.

You posted a sale like that and you would have to beat people away with a stick!!! I have seen auctions pack out for just 2 or 3 of the items listed in that ad!

Now as for that boom, that is truly awesome, but I question the top link not being attatched, any way we can get a clearer photo? I have a new inspiration for the boom I have intentions of building now! (Bent the one I have now using my FIL Ford 6000 and loading oak logs on a trailer! OOOPS.

check this out. Can't tell for sure, but the boom seems to attach to the tractor where the top link would ordinarily be.

Down in the tractor & implement part of the flier, Grampa says: "Ford Hoist for 3 point Hook-Up". Could this be what he's referring to ?

Have you ever seen one like that? The caption on the picture I found said it was an original Ford Hoist. It doesn't use a top link. It just pivots, & moves closer to the tractor when ya lift it.

I have one from my Grandma's sale December 3, 1946 and had Grandpa's John Deere GP listed on it. But I collect all that old family stuff. Hope the kids keep it after I depart.

Yup! That was my Grampa. I was just 17 at the time. I had the old muzzle loading squirrel rifle, but gave it to my brother to hand down to his son.

A bit of family history! Now that is really neat, and very much worth saving!

Thanks for scanning it for us.
