I've been asked if I know of a mechanic or shop near Roswell, New Mexico who can do 8n transmission work, either a complete change-out or a rebuild? I am at a loss but thought someone here might know of someone over there. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Ron

Thanks John. Your time and efforts are much appreciated. The 8n is a 1949 model and the transmission hangs between gears whenever placed into gear. Ron

My ole friend's name is OLON YOUNG. You will find Mr. Young, call him OLON, to be a fine gentleman of good character from Mississippi.

Olon was one of the fellas who landed on the beaches of Normandy during WWII. He worked on lots of FORD equipment during the time, and in England.
