dell, hokie, or anyone else with a smooth running engine.

question: what are your total outside to outside link dimensions on your linkage running directly to your governor and the linkage from governor to carb? remember, outside to outside.
the only way for me to get my idle down was to lengthen the two linkages. thus there is minimal thread holding the clasps on the rods.

thanks

Would you believe that if you measure 10 different Ns you will most like get at least 8 different lenghts for that. They are all a little different so thats why there is the adjustment in them

Would you believe they're NOT all adjustable? The carb-to-governor linkages on my 2 8N's are NOT adjustable, nor are the new ones you buy nowadays.

Notice the lower rod (the carb-to-governor rod) in this photo... NOT adhustable, at EITHER end.

The ones sold by this are are NOT adjustable, either.
