I installed a new clutch, pressure plate and bearings. Set the pressure plate fingers ie 2" from the flywheel. With the clutch pedal disconnected, I only have 9/16" free play. Is there a problem? Also is it common that all the screws on the presure plate fingers do not screw in at the same depth in order to get the 2" distance from the flywheel on each screw.

TY in advance

Never mind....I found my error. I wrongly assumed that the throw out bearing moved 3/4" when the clutch pedel was depressed 3/4". Sorry.

Right, that's my point, I can't get anymore distance between the throw out bearing and the pressure plate fingers. The adjustment screws on atleast two of the fingers are flush.
