anyone know how good these rotovator 3 pt tillers are? good for the 8n tractor? anything to look for so i don't get jabbed if i decided to buy it? it is a 60" asking price is $550

Due to ground speed, to use any rototiller, or to use the (howard) rotovator.. you really need a Howard post-tranny to slow down ground speed, yet keep pto rpms up.

They are rare.. but out there.

An everet trencher post-transmission does the same thing at a different ratio... I figure it would probably work too..

Equally rare...

As the others have said 1st gear is way to fast for a tiller of any sort. And even with a shermna under drive it doesn't work well because the sherman slows down the PTO way to much so you still don't have some thing that will do a good job

I am unfamiliar with the brand, but my 8N goes way too fast in low gear to work the tiller I tried out. I wish I had a low speed Sherman.
