Anyone have the link to link lengths for the RH & LH side of early 1949 8N's? I replaced the original solid drag link tubes with new drag links, tie rod ends and threaded tubes, but did not measure what the original lengths were before tearing them down...oops.

What I need to know is what the total length should be including links, not the tube lengths.

Duke....there is no exact setting on the lenghts, but are adjustable, that's why the tubes have threads in them. The tow-end will determine the exact length of each draglink lenght. Also the draglink lenghts will be diff depending on the type steering box you have.
If you have the late box,the right side draglink will be approx. 36-1/2 long and the left side approx. 38-1/2 long.If you have the early box the right side should be about 38 long and the left side about 37.The reason I asked what your tube lenghts were, was to find out what set-up you had,so I could get a little closer to the exact lenghts of each draglink. don b

Don, ok, thanks! I have early steering box (early 49 8N). That should get it close enough.
