Converting (UK/CAN) Imperial Quarts to US Quarts and then to litres is confusing, better to just buy US OIL

I want to Know how many fluid "Ounces" in an Imperial Gallon?

1 US quart = 946 mL = 0.946 L

As far as I know there is only one metric system; A liter is a liter is a liter..... .
