My dad had an 8N with a rotary mower. The lift was a little weak so he bought a kit years ago that had a set of chains that attached to the top link and the lift arms. The chains were adjustable. This way he could adjust the chain length and the cutter would not drop any lower that the chains. I need to get a set set for my tractor, but I do not know what they are called.

Can anyone help me with the name for the kit and possible place to purchase.

thanks

Pete Phieffer sold his business, he can still get parts for you. You must call his cell which I can't find right now. People who bought his place haven't opened for business. Too bad, it was only 5 miles from the house.

Yep. Limiter Chains. I have a set like Dunk showed and they're goof proof. No stress on the hydraulics, and go on lickety split. You should be able to get them at a TSC or some place like that. Or, if you're handy, which I am not, you could probably make a set.

I bought a set last year from a gentlemen in Wisconsin, his name is Pete Pfeiffer and he has been able to help me with a lot of parts. His phone number is 262-496-8392. I'm sure he'll be able to help you out. Please post to let us know how you did.
