I'd post a picture, but it would be solid black!

Just finished raking 10 acres of hay in the dark with the '50 frontmount and Fergeson 3pt PTO rake. The stars sure were pretty, and I could see the Milky Way, too.

Ed---sounds like you had fun!!!---if you get a minute, can you post a pic of the 3pt PTO rake if it is still on the tractor??

Thanks, Tim

It was indeed pretty dewey, and I do plan to turn it over one more time this afternoon. Between travel for work and trying to reroof our house inbetween rain systems (where'd all that rain come from anyway?), last night was the first chance I had to turn it since I cut it over a week ago. The cutting was pretty light (the hay field is pretty weedy now and needs a reboot this fall), so I plan to rake two windrows into one before we bale.

Thanks for the tips,

es

I have to agree with Old. I usually rake around noon and start baling around 4pm or 5pm depending on how well the hay dried.

That dew will make some real heavy bales. Wet bales rot fast and are an excellent way to collect fire insurance on your barn
