Installing new ORC

I've got the new ORC installed on my new PTO Shaft. I've got the grease fittings back on. Isn't the ORC suppose to free wheel in one direction. this one won't turn by hand in either direction. If it's suppose to free wheel, the only thing I can think of is that I didn't get the roll pin driven in far enough to clear the outer ring of the ORC.

Does that sound right?

I did the sane exact thing when I installed my orc on my 41 C Allis and after figuring out the center pin was not centered I got the pin centered and no more problems and wow what a difference the orc makes.

Farmer, I did as you suggested. I was about a quarter inch shy of having the roll pin equidistant. A couple of might whacks with a BFH was all it took.

Thanks.

Take a bolt slightly smaller than the roll pin and check to see how far the roll pin is in from both sides of the driveshaft. If it's not the same on each side tap it with the bolt to center it. When it is centered it will rachet in one direction.

Grease it up until it spurts and you're ready to go. Re-grease often if the coupler spends much time over-running.
