Broke my left upper lift arm this past weekend. Ordered new one from this site and received it in 2 days !!! Old one was persuaded off of spline shaft with minimal coaxing and judicious hammering. New one doesn"t seem to want to go on. Matched it to the old one and all the splines seem to be fine and spaced properly. Archives check seemed to only address removal process and warned that this was a nasty task all around. Don"t want to beat on the new part unless it"s advised that"s how to do it. Or bake it in the oven at ? degrees. ????? ??

I agree with Hobo..

Clean the splines on your rocksahft with a wire brush.. make them 100% perfectly shiny.. then coat with never seize.

Ont he new part, You may find a few mill scraps inthe threads.. take a small flat or better yet.. triangle file and give each spline landing a push thru.. then clean and lube.. then use the wood block and hammer method like Hobo says...

Heating the arm before trying to install it seemed to help when I put mine on, it still didn't go on too easy though. Be very careful to get it started straight before hitting it too hard, those splines are pretty easy to booger up.

Dress up splines if needed, coat with anti-sieze, wood block and BFH.,
