My son just bought this 1947 2N Ford. I am going to see it in two weeks. Might get to work on it a little.

Forgot to mention that the 2N Ford came with 6 pieces of equipment. Back Blade, Reversible trip dirt bucket, post hole digger, rotary hoe,spike tooth harrow and 5 foot shredder, all in good condition. Now for some real work.

nice lookin tractor. make sure you turn your radiator cap 180 degrees else it won't be aerodynamic and you'll waste that expensive petro while in 3rd gear. may help in reverse though.

Plenty of parts available for those little rascals and no shortage of free advice either. Just remember, most of it's carburetor problems will be traced to the ignition system.

That's a good lookin' 2N. Looks like she's ready to dig in and do some work! Don't forget that this is the first place to come if you or the boy have troubles. The archives have answers to every question you might have and the pros here can clear up anything that's still fuzzy. Good luck!

 Thanks to All!! in reply to ericlb, 07-22-2007 05:50:18
Thank you all for your responses. I have been reading the 2N-9N board for a few days and there does seem to be a wealth of help here. I might be needing some. We have ordered a full set of catalogs-manuals for it.

Pappy;
You certanly are not a stranger to tractor's, meaning you've been around them a long time. I do read your posts from time to time.

You guys will have that "N" whipped into shape in no time!!!

Good luck on the new project.
