Someone asked me this question. If I'm standing behind a 2N tractor. Which direction is the PTO Shaft spinning - Clockwise or CCW. Also what is the standard size of the PTO shaft on the 2N.

Bob gave you good info.

I'll add that while the 2n 'standard' shaft was 1 1/8"

The common 100$ replacement is 1 3/8".. and you need to check what you have if you are trying to match stuff up..

CW as viewed from the rear. It is driven from the transmission countershaft, which is driven from the transmission input shaft by a pair of gears, reversing the direction from that of the engine, Original shaft size was 1-1/8", 6-spline.
