Greetings, Needing help. A "friend" just unloaded a new lawn ornament for me to mow around. He picked up at auction for under $100 a Dearborn loader model 19-22, it was originally on an 8n with a proofmeter (just to age the 8n). It has two pistons for raising and one piston on right side of bucket for dumping and raising bucket. It has a Vickers pump that is bolted to a bracket on the front with a splined shaft (Does that go through the crank? On my tractor I can still see it has the toothed end for using a hand crank, does that have to come off?). I'm wanting to find out how it would mount on my '49 8n. The loader frame for the rear attatch points has just one large hole that looks like a pin would go through. So I must be missing something there. For the front mounting there is a plate on the frame about 8 in. long with three holes. I had read in archive posts something about a plate with two pin holes and center hole for bolt that I would need to attatch to the front of the tractor and then place loader frame on pins and bolt on. Just any info would be helpful to ease the mind until I order some manuals from N-newsletter. Thanks a bunch guys for all your replies.

You are missing the previously mentioned front hanger plate, the two brackets that bolt under the fenders for the rear attachment and pivot, and the splined front engine pulley that replaces the original front pulley. The pulley is available aftermarket, the rest you will need to scrounge up or fabricate

If I provide a drawing of the rear brackets can you provide some vital dimensions?

The front hanger plate replaces the "kingpin" in the tractor axle support. I make and sell slightly redesigned versions for 9N/2N/8N tractors:

Here's a picture of one test mounted on my 9N:
