Bought a new front axle bushing, it fit nice and tight into the axle. Bought a brand new pin, seems a pretty sloppy fit, about how many thousands should the fit be? Here's the 51 out front for sale, or trade for a decent tractor..

OD on the pin should be roughly 1.745/1.748. Fit to the bore in the axle support should be quite snug - the bushing is not as critical but I'd think under .010 clearance would be prefered.

Thanks for the info, I better measure the after market pin and bushing, seems a bit more than .010 more like .030 - .035

I've got a nice 48 8N with nearly perfect rubber I'd trade you for that 51 Ford.

I have a four door 51 Ford that I bought in 56. The wife and I dated in it. I bet their isn't as much room in the back seat of that coupe???? :O)

Nice sedan, The coupe's a lot of work but I bet your mighty good on 51's. I'd toss a hot rod flatty back in her. What color is your tractor? ----- Just kidding, let me know if you still want that ol coupe!

Where is the car????

I am tempted but if it isn't original I would n't want it anyway. I love those old flat head sounds when they are clucking just right! Mine is original 100 HP flat head.

Howdy I dont have any input on your topic, I just was wondering if anyone can see a difference in these pictures. I changed the brightness on it and reposted it so you can see it more clearly. It seems everyones pictures are always so dark on my end, I was beginnig to wonder if they indeed were dark for everyone or if it is my machine. Anyway good luck and at least for me I can see your pic better

Thanks Hobo for the comeback. Yeah on my PC the first pic is totally black with just some chrome being able to be seen. I guess it is just my setup. I dont know how it can be changed....T

Most of the time i add contras to it then other times add brightness. I also did not see the blue rear side window in the first pix it looked like the window was down and had fell to the side. Second pix shows to look like the window is rapped with a blue cover. I figger if we knew zackly how the light spose to b we would b a professional at take'n pix, that's why folks pay a pro the big bucks. If I were to take a run to look at this car I would figger by the first pix this boy is try'n to pull one over on me and where's that nice black'n I saw in the pix. I pert neer could b talked into a trade.

The inside is dead mohair and stuffins, no back seat, did'nt have one from the factory, but someone stuffed one in. have all the glass, including the pop out vents in the rear. dash is nice. As far as rust, a tiny pinhole in the floor pan and in one rocker. 302 motor, auto overdrive, mustang rear end. Needs interior in a nice tan leather, a very small amount of bodywork, Paint, complete the wiring... Asking 4,000 obo --- Trade. Business coupes on Ebay that are finished have been selling for between 18-22 grand for nice ones. I'm in Cheyenne WY. crossroads of I-25 and I-80 Wyoming cars tend to be rust free compared to elsewhere
