I'm getting ready to overhaul my hydraulics. What piston is best for sealing and lift power on 8n?

It is a good idea to replace the piston with the NAA style if the cylinder is not too badly scored, but do hone it out beforehand. The trick is to avoid the leather backup washer and use the rubber backup washer instead. If you do use the leather backup, be sure to soak it well before you try to install it as they like to tear on install.

As mentioned.. if you use the new piston and oring.. hone your old cyl if it has mild pitting or scratches.. if heavy.. then get a new cyl.

Its the new style with the 0 ring according to the tractor repair dealerships that I have talk to.

You might not want to use it however unless your putting in a new cylinder also. Seems that used cylinder usually have some scaring and the 0 ring type may not last very long.
