There is a redbelly (JD man, don't know Fords) in town that is LP gas and high crop. How rare are these? It is in working order, it could just use some paint and sheetmetal work. I might make an offer, just to have the rare tractor.

Ditto on the other posters.

Post a photo or two. 1 of the front of the grill,( this will help us determine 00/01 series ) and another showing the rear axle trumpet area.. ( we are looking for gear reduction )

Which model of redbelly is it? Check out the site below. A factory LP version was not available till around 1957, anything before that would have been added by the owner. By high crop, do you mean a row crop (see site below)? The row crop was offered starting in 1955 and is common. Ford never made a true high crop, and any of these would have been aftermarket kits.

LP models are not as common as the gas or diesel models, though I don't think it adds much if any value, and definitely not for a work tractor today. And the true high crop models are less common yet, though it depends on the part of the country you are in. In places that require high crop tractors, I'm sure there are more around.

Ford never made a true High Crop? How about a High Clearance. This tractor came from Kiawah Island S.C. It was purchased to cultivate tomatoes.

I stand corrected. Do you know when it was offered, starting with the 1000 series or before that? She ain't no redbelly though, poor thing.
