65-205 is for a 5 gallon bucket.

65-201 is for 1 gallon.

I paid $8 for a gallon when I bought it last.

It's gl-1, and is defacto yellow metal safe... lotsa N's are running it.

It's not going in a semi-truck rear end that makes a million miles of road driving a year.. it's going in a 50-60+ year old tractor diffy...

Drain about half the oil in there, then dump in a gallon or two of diesel... drive her around for about a minute.. but i wouldn't run the pto.

Then drain her. After that, you may want to try to scoop out as much much as you can and then use an old garden sprayer with some more diesel and flush her out. This diesel can be caught in a clean pan and filtered thru an old towell or t-shirt and reused till the sump is clean..

Allow to drip dry a bit.. the refill with clean oil.

soundguy...i called on to see if napa has it. they will have it tomorrow.

they did say it is NOT recommended for modern differentials with spiral bevel gears.

i am assuming that these old N tractors have nothing to fear then. right?
oh, i asked if it was yellow metal safe and they said they didn't know.
