How in the hell do I get the headlights of a 2n?!

There"s only one nut behind the sheetmetal and nothing inside the lamp. Help, please.

Try to spare the bolts...New ones are 10 bucks each.

The bolt has a flat head with square shoulders under the head. The shoulders fit into a slot in the headlight housing base so that the bolt doesn't turn when you crank on the nut behind the dogleg panel.

If the bolt is turning, that means you've wallowed out the groove in the housing base. You could try removing the lamp from the housing so you can attempt to grip the flat head of the bolt with something, but usually in a case like this you end up having to cut the bolt. It's hard to get the housing base groove back to where it should be once it's been wallowed out, too. Good luck.

I'm assuming you ment "off" the 2N. Remove the nut from the hollow bolt, and carefully pull on the headlight from the outside. Should slide right out. Then you will have to find out what size, and kind of light fixture you need if you want to reinstall them.

Thank's, I think I'll have to break it off. I was hoping to take the nut off and reuse it. Appreciate the help.

Those nuts are a common size nut so if you have to cut them its no big deal you can jsut buy new ones from a hard ware store
