Conducted this test with the shredder on and in the down position. With the PTO off. Used my handheld GPS to get the speeds. Running at full throttle.

1st and reverse 3.8 MPH
2nd 4.8 MPH

3rd 11.1

You should find the throttle setting that will give you 540 pto rpm. I would think 2200 engine rpm would way over speed the pto. Be careful and have fun.

They are too fast for the most part. I want a over/under drive...

No, I'm sure it's doing the same speed yours is. But it feels a bit too fast for my liking.

Have a overdrive? I only go that fast going down hill with the clutch in. I bushhog 5 acres for a camp ground about a mile away. It takes me 15 or 20 minutes to get there... Nice road trip. Up hill all the way back!!...Have a extra transmision shift lever? Standard tranny wont do 30 in third!! Could be you are also missing a shift lever and its in over drive. Have any pics of the left and right side?

I'll have to test mine and see. It feels more like about 30mph in 3rd.

Especially when you hit a bump, I get the "I am going way too fast" thought in my head.

I am running 12.4 X 28. I don't have a tachometer. I don't think i am reaching the max 2200 RPM's hard to say without a tachometer..

Any idea as to what your RPMs were? What size tires on the back?
