This is what it looks like in SW Wisconsin. All pics are within 5-10 miles of where I do my tractoring.

6-12" rain Saturday nite. 1-4" yesterday and another 1-4" expected tonite. 2 of the flood control dams are beginning to weaken and are over the tops of their spillways.

The only GOOD thing is so far nobody has lost their lives. $30 million plus in damages so far.

It took me 2 hours to drive 8 miles Saturday nite because of washed out roads, etc.

I have a lot more respect for the power of water.

Tim

So that is where all of our GA rain is this year.

Yall stay safe up there!!

We had a record 105° here yesterday, and have been setting records like that all month, and nearly NO rain to speak of all year.

Those are some pretty disturbing photos. I hope your place is okay.

Just 45-60 minutes south of here, in Goodhue county, they got 15-17 inches. Some pretty sad stories.

We in the San Antonio TX area have been feeling your pain since early May. I have had my drive replaced now twice, the culvert cleared more than I care to count, and people that don't cut their weeds are reaching 20'. We were released from our 10 year drought stage about 12" of rain ago. We've had more rain Jan - Jul this year than any one record, and that we before Erin hit. The main aquifer is 42' (yes feet) above average. Needless to say, flooding is becoming common around here as we are so saturated that less than an inch causes flooding. I don't think we have reached triple digits this year, heck minus one week in Aug getting over 90 was an achievement. Its been a really weird summer.

A lot of Missouri had the same problem on Monday. Roads washed out etc. My self I got between 7-12 inches in less then 4 hours and I'm still working on my drive way at one time it was 3 foot under water. I took pictures Monday and posted them in stuck and troubled which I was then but now its back to being hot

Sun rumored to shine any day now, here in PA.

Had a drought, now it's almost time to drag out a Bible and start cipherin' on an ark or two.

Try prayer. God sent rain to us in answer to prayer, and he sent it to you when we prayed that we had enough. Pray it away down south man, we could use some more by now.

greetings from a civil engineer in NE Illinois

we feel your pain because what happens to you flows this-a-way. The fox river basin is the real issue for us

up in WI it is a broad flat area

in illinois it becomes more channelized, so what may be a 8 inch innundation for you turns into feet along the chain-o-lakes.

plus I see we have another line of thunderstorms coming in from Iowa this afternoon.

what in the world are they doing out there anyway?

I certainly hope you come out of this okay. I would gladly trade some of our record setting heat and NO rain for about 3 inches of yours! We have had less than one inch since July first and corn/beans are GONE in the constant 100 degree plus heat. We normally get 5.7 inches in July...this year: 4/10 inch.
