I read the handbook on the two levers - the small one to your right as you sit on the seat and the larger one to your left. The small one basically turns the hydraulic system on and off? And the one on your left turns the pto on and off? I am a bit confused though as when I move the left lever down the hydraulic lift does not work, when I engage it - it does - as does the one on the right....I imagine it is not doing any harm to the system if you have either lever in one direction or another?

Lee..... ..these mysterious levers have been discussed many times. The lever behind yer left heel is the PTO lever. The PTO operates the hydraulic pump. No pumpie, no liftie. Simple, eh?

The little lever under yer right knee is NOT a FLUSH lever. It is the position or draught lever. Horizontal for draft as in PLOWING using Ferguson's ingenious hydraulic control for weight transfer and maximum traction. When the position control is VERTICAL, your righthip hy-trol lever has absolute control over 3-point vertical position such as brush-hoggin' and scoops and blades. But remember, no pumpie, no position or draught control..... ..Dell
