Any truth in this article? Sort of tempting to give it a go and see what happens...

I read the article. This is common to see oil burning on a Chevvy engine after a valve job because the mechanic doesn"t know how to put the valve seals in right. By going to a heavier weight oil will help as adding STP will also. If it didn"t use oil before the valve job, it shouldn"t after either.

If I remember right, my Brother used this very thing in one vehicle andsaid it really did help but then used it in another one and it did nothing. Somehow I just have a hard time believing that it could deposit something on the cylinder walls that will stay there. But I'm not going to say I wouldn't try it in certain situations.

Well, I am going to change up to a higher weight oil anyway so probably would not do any harm to bung some of this stuff in - if I can find it here in CA - I will report back - and if it works buy some shares in the company which produces it as all you guys will rush out and buy some!!!!

Some products no longer exist as they originally did here in Ca like the berrymans carb cleaner and I

discovered when I was re-staining my deck that the product Penofin was no longer available - apparently it had some stuff in it that actually worked so the guberment decided to ban it....I found the extra fingers I grew on my arm to be very useful too!!!
