I thought I had an 8N, but so many parts seem to be a 9N. The drag links on mine are fixed at the steering end. The only adjustment I have is on the front. I had to replace one of the ends (hard to find & $37.00) that attach to the front drag link. Now the fronts are Ok, but the backs (steering gear connections ar e horrible. there is a bunch of packing which is torn up behind the plate that goes over the attachment bolt.
Questions:
Does this plate come off?

How do I repair/replace this without having to buy a new link?

Thx in advance Fellers

The draglink ends had dust boots. OEM ones were leather.. it looks like a large washer and a small washer with leather booti between them. The large washer goes on first, the leather covers the joint, and the small washer fits snugle over the draglink stem.

You pop these off and can either get a rubber one.. or a metal/rubber composite one.

Sometimes it takes a bit of hand fitting with a file to get the metal ones back on.
