What is the best way to get the sleeves out of the engine block so new ones can be put in? Also are there any tricks to putting the new ones in?

Thanks, Roger

As Bob says - one time deal get a shop to do it. If you plan on doing it more than once (or you ljust like collecting tools) you might consider investing in a puller such as this:

If this is a "one-time deal"... you won't be doing more than this one, you're WAY better off having an automotive machine shop pull the sleeves, clean and "mic" the block, and install the new sleeves.

It's REAL easy to crack the block trying to "peel" the old sleeves out, and REAL easy to break a new sleeve trying to install it.

A search of the archives will turn up all sorts of posts about sleeve removal, and methods for reinstallation, including dry ice and several types of installation tools or "sleeve pullers".
