Im thinking 35 bucks per hour...Stump removal, Rock hauling and blading... what say you? I might invest in a bigger tractor in the future...One with more features!! More grunt!!! Love my N...Dont plan on parting with it. But with the right tractor...Money to be made clearing lots!!! the demand is good in this area...Seat time plus getting paid. Have one regular now. Might mow his 5 acres 3 or 4 times a year...Easy money for the N!! Other project demand more grunt..

You got that right...Need some money to maintain... Guy accross the street from me today was removing stumps by hand...ax, pic ax and shovel.

I removed several small trees and one big one. Had to chop a couple roots on that one...

When I was restoring my 8N I'd have people come by and ask how much to bushog their property. Decided to open a bushogging business and I charge $50.00/hour. Have never had anybody balk at the price. I also do a lot of work for various realtors in the area.

A cousin gets $50 to $60 per hour when he bush hogs pastures, mows large areas with a finish mower and plows/discs gardens with his 861.

That includes charging for load/unload/travel time too. I was charging $30 an hour to work-up lawns with my Jubilee and York rake, 20 years ago.

I have seen guys charging up to 65 per acre for bush hogging. Wet year = fields with 8' weeds LOL. I have seen the same New Holland stuck in the same field twice this year. Months a part. He needs to mow more often...Lets face it when the weeds are that tall you have now clue where you are going...Ill pass on fields that thick!!

I got $35 an hour many years ago.

I would re-think that.

Gas is expensive, even if the N does very well on it.

$40 to $65 an hour, and I say that consertively.

Googles spell checker just went down on me, and it wasn't that good.

$40.00 an hour. $15 for you and $25 for the tractor.

Upkeep, gas and fallback for any repairs. If you are going to do it, do it BIG. They will pay it!!!! Proven fact, and that is cheap. Check on what it would cost to rent a tractor, that will tell ya. And most people haven't got a clue how to operate one!!!

Gary, I think you are way too low on your price. Should be more like $40.00 for the tractor and $25.00 for you. Total of $65.00/hr. Of course I know we all enjoy the seat time but we still deserve a decent opertor's wage. Right?
