I have a 8n tractor. I was using it and it became stuck in 1st gear. I opened up the top and got it to nuetral. But even in nuetral you can push the tractor and it rolls a little ways then stops like it is trying to pop into gear. Or if you drive it it shifts gears fine but makes a loud clunking noise. Please HELP

Drop a little oil and look at your second gear. Had the same problem it would roll then lock up. I had a couple of broken teeth that was causing it to bind. Couldn't see if very well because of where it was and the oil. Finally had to split the tractor at the front to fix it.
