Do modern NH tractors have draft/position control?

I loaned my old Ferguson two bottom plow to my friend who needs to turn over some clayish creek bottom land. He had an eight year old New Holland. We got to talking about the differences in my 52 8n and his NH and I asked him about his draft/position control. He gave me a blank stare. He doesn't think he has such a thing and asked me to explain what it was. So, my question is... do modern tractors have draft/position control or an equivilent control for keeping plows adjusted to the right depth?

Ditto waht the others said.

I -had- a NH 1920 that did not have draft control.. however it was an option for that model. i currently have a NH7610s and it does have draft and position control.

It is a option on some models. my self I would go turn it for him and look after my plow. These plows were not made to see just how deep and hard a 4WD tractor can pull'em. I have one rite now that I am trying to fix for a customer that hung it behind a Kubota 4WD, the tractor won.
He has 2 L3600 and neither has draft, if they did I spec he would not know how to work the draft. Draft has to be set to find the proper dept. I think it best you go along with your plow as a chaperon.

Modern "Farm tractors" are made with both draft and position control, and NH is no exception. Some modern small (and cheap) tractors, and some utility tractors do not have draft control as they generally are not used in a "plowing" situation. So it depends on what he has for a tractor, but if it was made for row crops, he should have both. My 1994 4830 has both and that was built several years before NH bought Ford Tractor.

Ford Tractor bought New Holland in 1986 and sold the combined operation in 1991.
