Just replaced the fuel filter/pump/assending unit - module at a cost of $231, it ran for one week and now I am back to no fuel preassure again. Swapped the fuel relay with identical other units and still nothing...
Any ideas?

James

I don't know anything about your Dakota.

Chevy has an oil pressure sensor that has to sense and respond that there is adequate oil pressure to continue running the pump after the initial few seconds pump up.

On a Chevy you can pull the plug off the oil sensor, and short the wires to make the fuel pump run continuous for a check.

I'm not sure if that helps you any or not....

Could be a bad pump, 'puter, crank position sensor, or some stupid problem with the wiring.
