I am thinking of putting an auxiliary hydraulic pump on my 9N. Has anyone ever seen a dual belt setup? Would like to run the stock single belt for the normal stuff and a second belt just for the pump. Not really a fan of having the pump sit in front of the grill and I am worried that the main belt wont be able to transmit enough power to the pump. With a second belt, I could get more of the belt around the pump pulley. If I cant find a dual pulley can someone tell me the stock ID of the crank pulley, maybe I can gin something up. Thanks in advance,

Joe

I have a gearbelt setup on the drawing board but haven't built it yet. Uses the stock billet pulley and drives a side mount pump. Should handle up to 20HP of pump shaft horsepower without any problem. That's a lot more than you can run with a v-belt. Give me a yell if you'd like to see the drawings or know more.

The OEM 5/8" belt will pull a pump no problem

I guess if it wasnt getting cold, I would just buy a new billet pulley with the 4 1/4-20 holes and bolt up a second pulley to it but the thought of taking off all the tins, rad, font end and dropping the pan akes me say "wait till spring". Original plan was to mount a clutch pump under the second pulley with a short belt to power a big snow blower for this winter. But will probably wait till next year. Thanks you guys.

Guess you could have a machinist weld a pully blank onto your existing one??.. though the front one would be easier.. etc.

Best way to do that is mount the pump up front like they do for a loader and get the hub/pulley made for that and you then will not have a belt slip problem.

Joe, you would need to match ID, and OD as well.

Jeez Dunk, I thought you were goofing on me but you know your N's. I thought you meant the OD of the pulley but after checking the FO-4, I see you meant the OD where the seals ride. OK, guess I am going with a PTO pump, I am too lazy to rip it all apart.
