I have been reading this sight for about 3 months, ever since my purchase of my first tractor. There is a lot of knowledge being shared on this sight. Soundguy and many others have helped newbe's in a lot of different areas.
I have seen many wiring digrams converting 6 volt postive grd. to 12 volt neg. grd. for the 2, 9 and 8 N's. Would the 8 N conversion to 12 volt neg. gd. with side mounted dist. be the same for the NAA's? When I stole my girl ($1,600.00) someone had converted her to 12 volt neg. ground with wires going every way, but with new 12 v. alternator and I think 12 volt coil. I have had one issue with the switch but the sparkie guy fixed that for me. I would like to make sure that the conversion is correct. Sorry for the rambling. Thanks

Bob the latter part of Sept. you replyed to a request from me for wiring digram for a Jubilee 12 volt neg. grd. I just finished re-wiring her complete with 10 and 12 ga. wire, a 12 v. coil, new ign. & light switches. It is amazing, turned the new ign. switch to the on position the 194 bulb lit, hit the starter and seemed like a half a turn cranked and ran smooth as silk. Even the 194 bulb (resister)went off when cranked. There is hope for the week end piddler. Thanks for your help

Yes, the conversion is very much the same. Here is a diagram of the 6-Volt system on an NAA.

Compare that to a 12-Volt conversion diagram for a late 8N, and you'll see it's the same, except for the 12-Volt alternator and assiciated conversion wiring.
