well the big day is getting closer. i have total rebuilt my 8n motor. everything is new from the radiator to the to the key switch. just need to put in the battery and install the hood and fuel tank. since im good enough mecanic to be dangerous I was wondering if there anymore information or advice on things i should look for or tips on starting up a new engine. I have put a lot of work and a lot of frustraion in this tractor so any futher advice would be appreciated before i turn the key. this website has been a blessing for me. theres a lot of knowledge out there. so thanks for the help

I like to take the plugs out, and turn it over with the starter, and make sure the oil pressure comes up on the guage. Before I try to crank them.

Consider a small gas tank from a small engine to get it started the first time. The hood and gas tank are kind of a pain to put on and off. Also it is easier to trouble shoot in case you do have a problem.

RJ..... ....you"d be surprized how many new rebuilt engines are started with NO OIL. do I haffta tell ya to "CHECK YER OIL???"..... ..Dell
